Overview

Trusted Iron is a SaaS platform and Chrome extension built for heavy equipment dealers to manage inventory and post listings to Facebook Marketplace. This privacy policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Data We Collect

Through the Trusted Iron Web Application

—Account information: name, email, dealership name, password (encrypted)
—Inventory data: machine details, photos, prices, descriptions that dealers upload
—Lead information: inquiries submitted through public listing pages
—Usage analytics: page views, click tracking via UTM parameters

Through the Trusted Iron Chrome Extension

—Dealer authentication token (stored only in chrome.storage.local on the dealer's own device)
—Machine data fetched from the dealer's Trusted Iron account to autofill Facebook Marketplace listings
—Facebook listing URLs that dealers manually paste after publishing, to track which machines have been posted

Data We Do NOT Collect

—We do not collect any personal data from Facebook
—We do not scrape or store Facebook user information
—We do not track dealer browsing activity outside of posting flows
—We do not sell, rent, or share dealer data with third parties

How We Use Data

—To provide the inventory management and marketplace posting features
—To track which machines have been posted to Facebook and which need removal
—To provide analytics to dealers about their listings
—To improve the product

Data Storage

All data is stored securely in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security ensuring dealers can only access their own data. Authentication tokens are stored locally in the browser via chrome.storage.local.

Your Rights

Dealers can request deletion of their account and associated data at any time by contacting nick@trustediron.com.
